Telling Our Story

The act of interviewing a person, always exposes the interviewer to a much broader perspective than could have been previously imagined. I found great joy in working on this project. I had to share this here. It's so important to learn from people. For Black History Month, I was asked to cultivate the stories of a few people in my community for a weekly Sunday presentation at my church.

I think this falls directly in line with this post at For Harriet.

The Pop Culture enthusiast in me is sad the parts about The Cosby Show did not make it in to the final video. Television tells our story in a much louder voice to culture than anything, and in return, the life/art imitation cycle gets renewed.  But  alas, there were other things that had to be said.

Enjoy!
